Chevening Scholarship
The British High Commission has now selected two recipients for British Chevening Scholarships for the academic year starting in September 2012. The Scholarship covers all the costs of studying at postgraduate (Masters) level at a British University.
The British Chevening Scholarship s offer the opportunity for study in the UK to young Belizeans of proven academic ability, who have the potential to become leaders, decision-makers and opinion-formers in Belize.
This year's recipients are Javier Bosch, who is currently employed with the Belize Coast Gaurds and Antonio Hegar who is now with the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre. Javier will be pursuing a Masters Degree in Fiance and Accountancy with concentration in Financial Mathematics/Quantitative Finance and Antonio a Masters in Medicine and Health with concentration in Epidemology.
