British Army Training Support Unit Belize (BATSUB) 

The UK has a permanent military presence in Belize in the form of BATSUB (British Army Training Support Unit Belize).

BATSUB provides specialist training for British armed forces as well as specialist support to the Belize Defence Force (BDF) and other agencies when required, such as helicopter airlifts for medical and other emergencies.

The UK provides the Government of Belize with military assistance, including training and equipment, worth over half a million pounds per year.
